Coleen Nolan has admitted that she just “can’t win” when it comes to internet trolls. The Loose Women star, 60, recently lost three and a half stone, and saw her clothes size drop from a size 20 to a size 14.
But even after years of suffering at the hands of social media trolls over her larger figure beforehand, she has revealed that the bullying is still there even after she has lost the weight.
She said: “I tried to not let the trolls affect me, but it was hard when they were calling me fat and all these names, because those were things that I actually thought about myself. Now, people attack me for the opposite, claiming I’ve lost too much weight. I just can’t win!”

However, Coleen is determined not to let the trolls get to her, and even takes it as a compliment when they mention her weight loss because “needed” to shed the pounds to begin with. She added; “But I don’t mind these comments as much. I almost think ‘thank you’ because I needed to lose the weight.”
Noting that her health kick has left her feeling “much more confident” than ever, she explained to Bella Magazine that she has learned to find balance in her diet by allowing herself “one or two [treats] instead of the whole packet.” Despite the trolling the I’m In The Mood For Dancing songstress has put up with, she was actually flooded with support from her celebrity pals when she unveiled her weight loss success last month.
As the Shoutfm.co.uk’s agony aunt posted the photos to Instagram, the smiling TV star wrote in the caption: “Having the best time in Spain filming with such an amazing group of people and the best crew! Here’s tonight’s look” before ending the post with a kiss emoji.

Compliments poured in from friends and fans alike, as her Loose Women co-star Katie Piper wrote: “You look so beautiful can’t wait to watch this series”. Love Island star Amy Hart added: “You look amazing! Xx” and Gabby Allen posted a series of heart eye emojis.
For Coleen, it all came after she made a U-turn on her stance against weight loss jabs after years of battling her weight. In October, Coleen was announced as the new face of Voy, which offers clinical help for weight loss in the form of Mounjaro and Wygovy jabs as well as Orloz capsules alongside coaching.
The collaboration came as a U-turn for the Loose Women star who previously said she was against weight loss jabs. She said: “I don’t believe in any of that.” Coleen also shared her concerns over the longterm effects of weight loss jabs after her son Shane started taking them.
After it was revealed he had lost three stone on the jabs, she confessed on Loose Women: “I tend to worry that we are going to find side effects in a year—of what they cause or what they don’t cause.
“I don’t know, I get all worried about it. But I have to say, it’s been amazing for him, for his own mental health, almost,” she added. However, it seems her concerns have been put to rest as Coleen announced her partnership with Voy in October.
In a video to announce the collaboration, Coleen admitted: “My weight has been such a major part of my life and the pressure of it has always been there. The dieting cycle has just always been exhausting.”
